We need to actually address affordability which is a massive undertaking.  We need to protect ourselves from the insane advance of technology.  We need to do more to protect our children.  We need to hold people accountable for their heinous actions and we need to do it all while balancing the federal deficit.  This may sound impossible but I know America is up to the task of fixing things.

The only organization that can tackle these issues in a real and meaningful way is the US government.  The only people that can make these things happen is the American voter.  Frankly we have the tools at our disposal to make real change.  Instead we waste our lives 4 years at a time on bullshit.  People say they want change but it seems to me what they really want is to be right and to blame other people.  Then for somebody to come along and be their daddy and wave a magic wand that will wipe their ass for them.  Well America, maybe it's time we got together and wiped it ourselves.

It requires that we actually work together and unify as a base.  Trump has shown that this can work.  He destroyed his opposition within the Republican party by having a base that blindly followed what he said.  Why can we not do the same thing?  Why can the American people not conspire to control this country and make an America for the American people.  The internet and social media are right there.  Instead of being slaves to them, we should be making them work for us.  There isn’t any law that requires you to be Democrat or Republican and frankly I have no hope for either of these political parties. 

It is past time for real change.  People act like Trump is the root of all evil but to me he is a very dangerous result of a lot of very real problems that this country is facing.  This country is sick and battered with a malaise of the spirit that will not go away unless we put in the effort.  We need to act boldly like some of America's greatest leaders, and we need to act with intelligence, pragmatism, and morality to ensure we do the job right.

There was a lot of talk in the 80’s and 90’s about small government and how it's the right way to do things.  I think that the government in a democracy is the people’s power.  How else are we going to fight the billionaires, and the corporations, and the scum of the earth?  The size of the government should reflect the size of the problem it faces and it should be dealing with the problems that cannot be fixed otherwise.  Then if the problem is fixed, it can shrink its footprint until it needs to rise again.  The government shouldn’t be small or big.  It should be flexible and quick moving.  Not only that but we should be hiring the best and the brightest to tackle these issues effectively and correctly.
